What? Yeah, you heard me correctly. Yours truly is currently sitting in the press box at THE Yankee Stadium watching Game 1 of the Yankees-Red Sox series. In honor of what possibly might be a once in a lifetime experience, I've decided to kick it old school. Taking the advice of my longtime PIC "The Cody," I will be blogging live from the Stadium in inning-long segments "Miller-style." So for the five people in the world who actually get that reference, enjoy!
Inning #1
Top Half
7:09 - Javier Vazquez delivers the first pitch to Jacoby Ellsbury for a ball. I'm still in the media dining area gorging like a 300-pound fatty.
7:13 - Kim Jones enters the media dining area. Incredibly, she is even more attractive in person than on camera. OH. MY. GOD. It's seriously a toss-up between her and Sara Cabonero for hottest female sports journalist alive. Christ.
7:15 - I reenter the press box and take my seat just in time to watch Papi wallop his 24th of the season on a 3-2 cockshot from Vazquez. Dead center and gone. He may be lookin' skinny, but David still packs some pop in that bat.
7:18 - Javy gets V-Mart to opo up for the final out. An early hole, but a manageable.
Bottom Half
7:22 - Jeter leads off with his fifth straight hit since Wednesday. Here comes the captain.
7:27 - A TEX MESSAGE (props to Shrinkwrap)! Mark Teixeira sends his 24th dong four rows back into the right field bleachers. 2-1 Yanks now with the one-run lead. My boss and EPSN Boston writer Gordon Edes says he called Tex hitting one in an Sportscenter interview earlier today. He's a betting man that one. Always plays the hot hand.
7:28 - A-Rod hits it fairly hard, but Lowell showing he ain't done with a handy play. I like that guy. Which one? Lowell or A-Rod? Yes.
7:30 - Berkman grounds out to end the inning. His offseason tradability just went down another peg. I have faith Lance. You can turn it around. And by 'it' I mean a revolving glass door.

A shoutout, a Miller reference, cock-shot, dong and a Tex message all in the same entry!! Incredible.
Wait, why did we get Berkman again? So that he could permanently play DH (and suck) and not allow our old horses like DJ, Jorge and A Rod to get half days off? Greatttt.
Lowell is sill-ily good at first...
