INNING 5!!!!

Get at me if you got it fool!

Top Half

8:35 - Another punchout to begin the inning for Javy.  Big Papi with a big swing-and-miss on a gorgeous 2-2 change-up.  Best pitch of the night?  I report, you decide.
8:35 - For the record, I have no right to the Fox News slogan or any other news slogan for that matter.  But seriously, Fox News, go fox yourself.
8:38 - Speaking of big swings and misses, Beltre nearly spun himself into the ground with some ugly-looking misses on slow curves from Vazquez.  The 0-1 was slow, the 0-2 slower.  Guess the scarecrow finally got that brain he wanted.  Wonderful pitching.

Between Innings

8:39 - Why the hell is the Birthday Marquee voice so damn obnoxious?  It's like the guy who did the old guy's voice in Eight Crazy Night's (ha, yes I know that was Adam Sandler) and Gilbert Godfrey had a child, got an abortion, and then somehow it came to life anyway.  Very poor decision by the front office.  Where's my letterhead?

Bottom Half

8:41 - Gardener's theme music when he digs in is Van Halen's "Unchained."  When's that Kleinman kid when you need him?  Home by now I hope.  Holla at me 'wrap!
8:43 - Jeter plunked for the 4,679,326* time of his career.  He took it on the tricep/shoulder (as deduced by my partner Joey Mac) while he was spinning away, though.  Enough meat there to soften the blow.  Walk it off big boy.  It's still a ratchet on the ole OBP.
8:48 - After a single by Swish and a pop-up from Tex, the latest and greatest member of the 600 club comes through with a big two-out base hit to plate Jeter from third.  That's the sight we've all been waiting to see.  Waiting for the ball to come to him and simply taking to center field for a line drive.  RBI number 88.
8:50 - Cano hits a soft one to short and this time, Scutaro makes the flip to second with his hand.  Well played, Marco.
